program details
What is Respite Care? Also referred to as "stay by the day", Respite Care is temporary, overnight senior care in our Rivers of Life community. Your loved-one will benefit from the superior care and nursing support that is offered to our permanent residents.
When would I need these services? If your loved-one is recently recovering from time in the hospital or transitioning from a skilled rehab facility, Respite Care is a sought after option to help ease the transition back into daily life. As a caregiver, our 24/7 care will give you peace of mind and allow you time to get your loved-ones affairs in order before their return. Not all individuals may qualify, contact us to discuss more.
Do I have to have a doctor's order or medical reason for your services? No. We understand that caregivers need a break or want to make plans to go on vacation. Respite Care at Rivers of Life is a great option for you to take some time for yourself, and know your loved-one is in the highest quality care.
Is there a minimum and maximum stay? Yes, if your loved-one is in the Respite Care program there is a minimum stay of 5 days with a maximum of 30 days. You will also have the option to discuss a long term lease if permanent stay becomes desired.
Will we have access to all the same amenities? Yes! Your loved-one is a welcomed part of our community while they stay here. They will have the option to join any activity we have planned, eat meals with our residents, and mingle in the common areas.
What do we need to bring for the stay? The Respite Care apartments are fully furnished as you would expect in a hotel. We will provide more information upon intake.
What if my loved-one has doctor's appointments during their stay? Can they have visitors? You will need to arrange transportation for any appointments but your loved-one may leave for appointments as long as we know ahead of time. Visitors are allowed 30 minutes at a time and must follow our Visitor guidelines.
How do I get started? Let's talk! Contact Us to discuss your loved-one's circumstances, dates needed, and rates.
