BUILDING DESIGNOur building was strategically designed by our owners who have deep construction and medical knowledge in order to help those with complex medical needs. We intentionally put the resident at the center of each and every decision, thoughtfully designing a one-level building that would promote independence, safety, inclusion and freedom. The continuous flow is designed to help avoid dead ends that can lead to confusion, agitation or isolation, while allowing staff to give effective care.

AIR QUALITYOur HVAC system, provides consistent tempered fresh air from outside. This unit, along with high-efficiency exhaust fans, creates 5-6 air exchanges per hour. Your loved one will be breathing fresh, clean air throughout the day. Each resident apartment also has their own heating and cooling system to promote independence and individual temperature control.

GATHERING AREASWe have dedicated several intimate living spaces in the center of each neighborhood. These spaces are specifically for activities, music therapy and interaction in order to encourage residents to participate and thrive outside their individual apartments. Our unique green room is part of our sensory program and was designed on a South facing wall for all day sun. Residents can enjoy natural plants, flowers, running water (for tranquility) and relaxation in this area.
Our goal was to deinstitutionalize the building. Throughout our living corridors, we have supplied an abundance of natural light, windows and outdoor spaces to minimize sundowning. Sundowning is commonly experienced in Dementia/Alzheimer’s residents. When the sun starts to set, the brain decreases the amount of a neurotransmitter called 'dopamine', which can adversely affect the mood of your loved one. Luxury vinyl plank flooring was used in each resident apartment, as well as the majority of the building, due to its ability to resist dust, bacteria and prevent unpleasant smells. As part of our air quality commitment, this was an important choice for the comfort of your loved one. |
THE DINING EXPERIENCEThe dining experience is a primary focus because residents deserve to have the freedom to choose from an extensive culinary list. As part of our vision, we promote the option to choose organic foods to assure healthy and nutritious balance. Our commercial grade kitchen allows for a professional chef to cook any type of meal, and the location of the kitchen is adjacent to the dining room in order to create a social dining experience. We can accommodate those with specialized diets and food allergens/sensitivities.
